1,300 Ukrainian troops killed in Russian invasion, amid humanitarian crisis in Mariupol
Russian forces are squeezing their armed grip on the port city of Mariupol, as civilians left with nowhere to flee or hide.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that around 1,300 of his troops had been killed since Russia's invasion began.
Poland's transport minister said that any help Ireland can offer to help refugees would be happily accepted.
A two-hour phone call was held between Vladimir Putin, Emmanuel Macron, and Olaf Scholz in which Putin was asked to release the mayor of Melitopol, who was kidnapped by Russian forces.
