DIEGO MARADONA HAS told Roma great Francesco Totti to continue playing until he is 50 so the Argentina icon is not “bored to death”.
Maradona set up Totti for a goal during a charity game in Rome last night.
The 1986 World Cup winner wants to see 40-year-old Totti extend his incredible career for another decade.
“Totti is a phenomenon, for real,” Maradona said.
“He must play until he’s 50. I told him, ‘Francesco, I pray you don’t leave football because if you do I will be bored to death’.”
As for Serie A, Maradona feels his former club Napoli can end Juventus’ dominance.
He said if they can perform without Arkadiusz Milik, who has suffered a serious knee injury, Napoli can win the title — although they are already four points off top spot.
Maradona said: “Surely Napoli can beat Juve this year if they don’t feel Milik’s absence too much.
“[Manolo] Gabbiadini will take the field with all his confidence and Napoli can win.”
