A key factor in deciding this game could revolve around the absence of Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher, who has suffered a season-ending cruciate ligament injury.

He’s replaced by Dan McCormack for today, but will that be enough to get them over the line?

Let us know what you think.

A Jason Forde free cuts the gap to three points. That’s their first score of the second half.

Tom Morrissey finds the target once more followed by a score from Barry Nash. It’s just shooting practice now for Limerick.

Limerick 2-26 Tipperary 2-14

Jason Forde Jerome Cahill score, but there’s not much of a response in the crowd. They’ve been well and truly beaten today.

Full-Time: Limerick 2-26 Tipperary 2-14

Well that’s that! The end result was on the wall for a lot of the second half. Limerick were immense today, scoring an incredible 2-20 from play.

Tipperary just didn’t have an answer. John McGrath’s second half goal offered them hope but they couldn’t build on it. Seamus Callanan looked to be in for a second goal but was denied by a brilliant save.

Had that gone in, it could have been a different story. But this is Limerick’s day.

So, Limerick are now league and Munster champions. They will certainly be favourites to retain their All-Ireland crown after that performance today.
