Carter and McCaw bid farewell to Crusaders with a win, but Nadolo steals the show again

He’ll never be as big a legend as Dan and Richie in south-east New Zealand, but he’s incredibly effective.

DAN CARTER AND Richie McCaw played their final game of Super Rugby for the Canterbury Crusaders and, fittingly enough, ended with a win on Australian soil.

McCaw in particular ended in style, his Crusaders pack consistently overpowering the Brumbies in the 24 -37 win including an expertly re-formed maul that allowed Matt Todd a ride all the way to the try-line for a bonus-point sealing score.

The real star of the show, however, was again the Crusaders’ enormous wing, Nemani Nadolo. The 6’5″ Fijian showed both brute force and a deft touch in scoring his two first half tries, the latter coming with this impressive left foot chip and chase around the last defender.
