THE GUINNESS PRO12 has this morning unveiled its ‘Dream Team’ ahead of the end-of-season awards this weekend.

Just four of the XV selected ply their trade outside of Ireland, with Munster dominating the side with six picks, including both props, both centres, second row Billy Holland and the province’s own player of the year Tyler Bleyendaal.

To be eligible for selection for the team picked by some journalists from across Italy, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, players had to have 10 Pro12 appearances in the 21 rounds already played this season.

Carrying the flag for league leaders Leinster are back rows Jack Conan and Dan Leavy, joined by Scarlets’ breakdown pest James Davies.

Ulster’s Ruan Pienaar and Charles Piutau make the team, along with three other players from teams outside of the playoffs: Tiernan O’Halloran, Tommy Seymour and Ben Toolis.

Ospreys are the only team to have reached the knockout stages but not see a player selected in the team of the season.
