AN MLS GOAL of the season contender was scored last night as Columbus Crew played out a 2-2 draw.

The home side were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box in the 36th-minute, when Luke Mulholland picked out US midfielder Kyle Beckerman, who flicked it on first time to Joao Plato.

His header found Olmes Garcia at the back post for superbly-executed free-kick routine.
