IRELAND’S RICHARD KEOGH scored an own goal and conceded a penalty in Derby County’s 4-1 defeat to playoff rivals Burnley this evening.

Keogh headed a near-post cross past his own keeper Scott Carson to give Burnley the lead in the 29th minute.

The o.g. was Keogh’s fourth in the Championship since August 2011, according to Opta, more than any other player.

Jacob Butterfield levelled for Derby within a minute, but the Rams found themselves 2-1 down in the 54th minute when Keogh tripped Andre Gray who dusted himself to convert the penalty.

Jason Shackell’s handball gifted Burnley a second penalty just three minutes later, which Sam Vokes tucked away, before Scott Arfield hit a fourth in the 66th minute to see the Clarets leapfrog Derby in the playoff race and move up to third.
