WHEN ANDREW WHELAN received two tickets for Norwich City’s clash with Cardiff for Christmas, little did he know the player he was making the trip over to see wasn’t going to be involved.
Four days before the Championship game at the Cardiff City Stadium, Robbie Brady’s move from Norwich to Burnley was confirmed and it meant Andrew from Stradbally wasn’t going to see his sporting hero in action.
But, last week at the Ireland team hotel in Castleknock, Andrew was given the surprise of his life as he met his idol before he was told he would walk out at the Aviva Stadium with Brady ahead of tomorrow night’s friendly with Iceland.
The look on his face is absolutely priceless.
