IT MAY OR may not mark the beginning of a golden Autumn in Roger Federer’s career, but the Swiss star’s first win over Novak Djokovic since August 2012 is yet another sign the former world number one may be returning to something close to his best.

While he hasn’t won a tournament since June 2013, he has reached the final or semi-finals of his last six events, including the Australian Open.
