CRISTIANO RONALDO SCORED his 500th and 501st career goals in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League as Los Blancos record back to back wins in Group A.

The Portuguese international held his run before being fed by playmaker Isco and striking a low effort into the far corner to net the landmark tally, equalling Raul’s long-standing record of 323 goals for Real.

Real almost doubled their advantage before the interval as Dani Carvajal latched onto a loose ball inside the Malmo box before crashing a superb half-volley strike onto the crossbar from an acute angle.

Malmo almost snatched a second half equaliser as captain Markus Rosenberg headed wide after a fine cross from Anton Tinnerholm but their task became even tougher when Yoshimar Yotun was shown his second yellow card after bringing down Isco with 10 minutes to play.

And they were punished in the dying minutes when Ronaldo netted his second of the evening from close range.

Alvaro Morata made it two goals in as many Champions League games this season as he scored in Juventus’ 2-0 defeat of Sevilla.

The victory was deserved after an all-action Juventus performance that barely gave Sevilla a look in, and Morata’s effort saw him equal Alessandro Del Piero’s record of having scored in five consecutive Champions League matches for the club.

First-half goals from defenders Serge Aurier and David Luiz helped Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk. Laurent Blanc’s side raced ahead after just seven minutes, Aurier latching onto a cross from the left to nod in, before Luiz nudged them further ahead 16 minutes later.

PSG were almost made to pay for the wastefulness of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Angel Di Maria in the second half, with Alex Teixeira being denied by both Kevin Trapp and the woodwork.

But they could not find a way through PSG’s back line and Ibrahimovic’s deflected third rounded off a convincing victory as the match approached stoppage time.
