Two-time Allstar Ronan Clarke 'in intensive care' after club game collision - reports

The former Armagh man collided with post during a club game last night.

FORMER ARMAGH FORWARD Ronan Clarke is in intensive care after being injured in a club game against Maghery last night.

The BBC are reporting that Clarke sustained a head injury after colliding with a goal post while playing for his club, Pearse Óg.

The 32-year old is being treated at Craigavon Hospital where his condition was described as “serious but stable.”

Clarke made his Armagh debut in 2002, helping the Orchard County to both the Ulster and All-Ireland senior football titles that year with his performances earning him the Young Footballer of the Year award that season.

Clark picked up Allstar awards in 2006 and 2008.
