Scannell stars as Munster secure comprehensive win over Zebre

NIALL SCANNELL PRODUCED a man-of-the-match performance, as Munster earned a comfortable 50-14 bonus-point win over Zebre in today’s Pro12 clash in Parma.

It was a game in which the outcome was rarely in doubt with the Irish side taking a 24-7 half-time lead.

Scannell, Ronan O’Mahony (2), Tommy O’Donnell, James Cronin (2) and Rory Scannell got the tries for Munster, while Derick Minnie and Lloyd Greef registered consolation scores for the Italians, who have now lost 16 out of 17 Pro12 matches.

The victory keeps Munster on course for the Pro12 playoffs, with the province currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Leinster.
