Sky Sports agree new 3-year NFL deal -- and not a moment too soon
AMERICAN FOOTBALL FANS, rejoice — you won’t need to suffer through a world without Sky Sports coverage this NFL season.
The road to Super Bowl XLVII begins tonight when reigning champions the New York Giants host the Dallas Cowboys but until yesterday, no deal had been agreed between Rupert Murdoch’s plaything and Roger Goodell’s plaything regarding the main TV package on this side of the world.
Thankfully that has all been sorted after a three-year deal was hammered out by the bosses at the last minute, ensuring that we won’t have to endure any more of this nerve-wracking posturing until 2015 at the earliest.
Somewhere out there, Kevin Cadle is smiling.
According to the press release:
Roll on kick-off.
Coverage of Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants begins tonight (Wednesday) at midnight on Sky Sports 1.
