Roberto Soldado scored a rare Tottenham goal tonight and it was a cracker too

The Spaniard hammered home a lovely volley against Fiorentina.

ROBERTO SOLDADO HASN’T had the best of times since joining Tottenham in 2013, but he gave them the lead in tonight’s Europa League tie against Fiorentina at White Hart Lane.

The Spanish international put Spurs 1-0 up with this brilliant volley from Paulinho’s corner. Shades of Paul Scholes against Bradford? Not quite, but a superb goal nevertheless.

Jose Maria Basanta got the Italians back on level terms with a 36th-minute equaliser.
