From BOD to Bert - 7 of the soundest dads in sport

Happy Father’s Day!

IF YOU’RE ONLY just realising today is Father’s Day… well, that’s not very sound is it?

Not like this selection of aul’ fellas who can be our dad any day of the week.

So here, in no particular order, are seven of the soundest dads in sport.

Happy Father’s Day!

1. Bert Le Clos

Look how happy Bert was for his son back at London 2012. If there was an Olympic medal for soundness, Bert is a sure fire gold.

2. Jim McGuinness

Any dad who lets their kids play on the hallowed turf of Croke Park has to be considered a sound dad.

3. Brian O’Driscoll

BOD is sound. Amy Huberman is also sound. And young Sadie can always tell her mates she was on the field when Ireland won a Six Nations title.

4. Steph Curry

When your dad is sound enough to let you steal the show despite the fact he’s about to win an NBA title, you know he’s a legend.

5. Billy Morgan

Who wouldn’t want to play for their dad at the highest level of club football? Sound.

6. Vadim Evseev

This retiring Russian footballer was sound enough to let a 5-year old who wasn’t even his own son replace him — and score — in his final ever game.

7. Coach Taylor

Relations between the two haven’t always been easy but when your dad is de facto father to an entire high school that’s understandable. Clear eyes, sound heart, can’t lose.
