SOUTH AFRICA DEMOLISHED Ireland’s men’s team 45-7 in San Francisco overnight.

The World Series champions dominated the Irish side to book their quarter-final spot.

The Boks led 19-0 at the half-time with Terry Kennedy scoring the only Irish try late on.

Earlier, Ireland had overcome Chile 17-12 in their pre-round of 16 match-up.

Ireland will now face Kenya in the Challenge quarter-final tonight while the women’s side take on Russia.
