  • One to watch: Most Irish sports fans will agree that Conor McGregor’s fight with Max Holloway, despite taking place at an unsociable hour (roughly 1am), is undoubtedly worth staying up for.
  • One to Sky+: The Premier League is back, and David Moyes’ league debut as manager of United on Saturday should be an intriguing affair, particularly as it comes against tricky opposition in the form of Swansea.
  • One to skip: Call us cynics, but the rugby match between Waikato and Northland isn’t an encounter we’re especially eager to see.
