Brilliant debut from Aguero as he scores a brace against Swansea
Sergio Aguero came off the bench to score twice – the second a sublime effort – as Manchester City beat Swansea 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

SERGIO AGUERO SCORED twice on his Manchester City debut as Roberto Mancini’s side beat Premier League new boys Swansea 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Monday night.

Edin Dzeko and David Silva were also on the scoresheet in a winning start for one of the title favourites, and the difference could have been even greater had it not been for an inspired performance by new Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

Vorm saved 12 efforts in the match – more than any goalkeeper managed in a single top flight match last season – but once Dzeko opened the scoring for City, the floodgates open.

Silva fed Adam Johnson and when the England man’s shot was saved by Vorm, Dzeko was on hand to tap in.

That came in the 57th minutes, and shortly afterwards Aguero was introduced for Nigel de Jong. Less than ten minutes into his debut, the former Atletico Madrid man had his first goal in English football, tapping in a cross from Micah Richards.

Aguero had a huge hand in City’s third, flicking over Vorm before pulling the ball back for Silva to fire into the net, and the Argentine saved the best for last.

Picking the ball up 25 yards from the Swansea goal, Aguero took one look up before lashing the ball right into the corner.
