Good waves everyone…

Weather Overview

So the question is: Are they going to have surf? Unfortunately it looks like it’s going to be the classic answer of “You should have been here yesterday!” The waves are looking great for today but the swell is due to drop as the weekend progresses. Apologies to all who were hoping for some bank holiday waves.

The north – 3-4ft today with light onshore winds. These switch to southerlies tomorrow but swell is low.

Co Donegal/Sligo – 3ft today and surfable everywhere. The swell drops to under 1m Saturday but the wind does swing offshore, so fingers crossed it cleans the waves up for the comp.

Co Clare – 2ft and offshore. The perfect longboard wave. Drops smaller tomorrow.

Dingle Peninsula – Inch is pretty much flat today but there is a rideable wave in Kilcummin. But like the rest of the country it will get smaller as time ticks on.

Cork & the south – Small and getting smaller.
