The42 Gym Series: 3 upper body exercises to include in your workout

We’ve teamed up with Smart Training to bring you seven weekly workouts designed to hit all parts of the body.


IT’S WEEK TWO of our gym series and we’re focusing on a back workout in this video.

Use these seven workouts as your own, pick and choose exercises or simply take inspiration from them; do what you will but the idea of The42‘s Gym Series is to empower those of you who want to embark on a fitness journey and provide current and factual information to those already on it.

Personal trainer, and former hockey international, Jonny Bruton of SMART Training Churchtown guides us through each exercise and how to perform and execute them correctly in the above video.

  • Pull-up
  • Dumbbell lat pullover
  • Reverse alternating dumbbell row

Remember, this is not a rigid plan we’re forcing you to adhere to for the next seven weeks. The42‘s Gym Series will hopefully enlighten, motivate and inspire your workouts and training this January.

We are not guaranteeing results between now and the end of the month and we are certainly not pushing this out as gospel. Living a healthy lifestyle is about adapting, flexibility and sustainability.
