NFL player has '11 or 12 screws' in broken arm, but that won't stop him playing in the Super Bowl

“It is what it is,” says Thomas Davis.

CAROLINA PANTHERS LINEBACKER Thomas Davis is a freak of nature.

Davis broke his arm during the Panthers’ blowout win over the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game last weekend which, you’d presume, will rule him out of the Super Bowl next Sunday.

Not so fast.

“[I have] a plate and probably around 11 or 12 screws in my arm right now,” Davis told the NFL Network. ”It is what it is.”

Davis is already something of a physiological phenomenon having come back from THREE ACL tears in three years — something that no other NFL player has ever done.

He had surgery on the broken arm on Monday and is pretty unequivocal about his plans for Sunday 7 Feburary.

“I’m still looking forward to playing on Super Bowl Sunday.”

Broken arm? Ah yeah, it is what it is.
