SEAMUS CALLANAN PRODUCED one of the great All-Ireland final displays as Tipperary beat Kilkenny and lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

Callanan finished with a massive 0-13, including nine points from play, as Tipp ran out nine-point winners in Croke Park.

The Drom & Inch man will be the leading contender for the man of the match award, which will be named live on The Sunday Game on RTÉ this evening.

But there were a host of outstanding performers across the rest of the Tipperary team.

John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer justified Michael Ryan’s faith in starting him and scored a brilliant 1-5, including Tipp’s crucial first goal, while John McGrath bagged 1-3 of his own.

At the other end, 20-year-old Ronan Maher turned in one of the performances of his young career as he did battle with Kilkenny star Richie Hogan and came out on top.
