MARKO ARNAUTOVIC’S EARLY goal gave David Moyes his first win as West Ham United manager and dented their city rivals Chelsea’s title bid.

With leaders Manchester City not in action until tomorrow, Chelsea had a prime chance to close the gap to eight points with a win in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

But Arnautovic curled West Ham into the lead on six minutes and they held the visitors at bay to end their run of eight straight league matches without a win.

Moyes’ decision to stick with Adrian in goal at Joe Hart’s expense dominated many of the pre-match headlines, but the Spaniard was equal to Chelsea’s best chances in that first half, denying both N’Golo Kante and Davide Zappacosta.

Alvaro Morata could have snatched a point for Antonio Conte’s side late on but shot wide.
