Mike van der Hoorn's incredible OG will make you feel better about your own game

We’re almost certain he was trying to clear this.

SOME OWN GOALS are easily explained. No good defender should go through a career without a small handful OGs against their name.

Mis-timing a header, lunging for a last-gasp block or having a cross blasted at your shin. These are all forgiveable ways of scoring against your own team.

Mike van der Hoorn could only find sympathy from the referee in this game.

With Utrecht already down to nine men, van der Hoorn supplied AZ’s fourth goal of the game… but only after he had controlled a cross and (under no pressure at all) dinked a lovely little left-foot finish into the corner.

Four down at half time, Utrecht ended up on the wrong end of a 6-0 hiding.

Is this the worst Brazilian penalty kick of all time?

Remember that stunning Dortmund mosaic last week? This is how they made it
