Kerry's Colm Cooper sends his thanks to fans after knee injury
The Kerry forward tweeted that he is looking forward to beginning rehab.

KERRY’S COLM COOPER has spoken about his knee injury for the first time in a tweet this evening.

The 30-year-old took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support after he ruptured ligaments in his right knee. The Crokes forward sustained the injury during the club’s AIB All-Ireland club semi-final defeat to Castlebar.

The eight-time All-Star had been in strong form for Crokes, and his loss is a huge blow to Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice. However, Cooper’s message this evening suggests that he is already focused on getting back on the pitch as soon as possible.

That will be a welcome sight for Kerry supporters.
