John Daly back on the course a day after falling unconscious on 18th tee
“I was having a great time and then suddenly… boom! I’m falling down.”

AMERICAN GOLFER JOHN Daly, a man with a notoriously loose attitude to health and fitness, had a major scare on Saturday when he lost consciousness on the 18th tee of a tournament in Mississippi.

The 49-year-old suffered a collapsed lung after a long-standing rib injury according to his manager Bud Martin. His playing partner Will Dottley described the frightening scene after saying Daly had been struggling with temperatures in the mid 30s.

“I had my arm around him when he went down. He had no pulse and wasn’t breathing for close to three minutes,” Dottley told The Golf Channel.

Luckily for Daly, a nurse from the crowd stepped forward to resuscitate him before he was taken to hospital by ambulance. Daly was discharged from the Jackson hospital that night and was able to return to the Canton course.

Did he take it easy?

Did he hell! The Arizona native was back on the course to play a round on Sunday and tell his side of the tale.

“I was having a great time and then suddenly… boom! I’m falling down while on the 18th tee and the next thing I know I’m in an ambulance,” Daly told the Associated Press, who also report that he was spotted smoking on the course.
