Married couple in suspected 'murder suicide' leaving behind children

The bodies of Tracey and Kevin Baker were formally identified earlier today.

THE BODIES OF a man and a woman who are suspected to have died in a case of ‘murder suicide’ have been formally identified.

Married couple Tracey Baker, 42, and Kevin Baker, 35, were found at their home in the town of Chard in Somerset, England, on Sunday morning.

Post-mortem examinations have been carried out and determined that Tracey Baker died from multiple head injuries and Kevin Baker died from self-strangulation by ligature.

The Metro is reporting that the couple has left behind three children, all thought to be under the age of 10.

In a statement this afternoon, Senior Investigation Officer with the Somerset and Avon Constabulary Andy Mott, said:

Our thoughts are very much with the families affected by this tragic incident and they’re continuing to be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
Although we’re not looking for anyone else in connection with these deaths, our enquiries will continue to develop a full understanding of what happened and a file will be supplied to the Coroner’s office.
