A 24-YEAR-OLD woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours of this morning in Co Tyrone.

The assault is believed to have occurred at some point between 1am and 3am in walkway the Johnston Park area of Omagh.

The PSNI say they are investigating the attack and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area during that time and who may be able to assist them.

Officers say that the investigation its early stages and there are no further details at present.
