1. #CHURCH GOLD A priest is appealing for church gold to be sold in order to pay for a teacher in Moyross, saying that funding was pulled.

2. #FINE GAEL The Mayor of Drogheda has quit Fine Gael over “cronyism, bonuses, allowances and privatisation” at Irish Water.

3. #NO WAY Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams says that he won’t be resigning. In an interview this morning, he acknowledged that the IRA was ill-equipped to deal with the issue of abuse.

4. #RYANAIR It has been a big year for Ryanair - its half-year profits rose 32% to €795m, with traffic up 4%.

5. #BEEF Farmers say that they will be taking more action over beef prices, following an emergency meeting on the issue last night.

6. #HONG KONG A British man, Rurik Jutting (29), is to appear in court today charged with the murder of two women whose bodies were found in his apartment.

7. #IRISH WATER There will be more water charges protests on 10 December – and Minister Simon Coveney says that Irish Water “will not be scrapped”.

8. #ACCUSATIONS A sports coach has been accused of the abuse of two teenage girls, the Herald reports. It  says that gardaí are investigating.

9. #ALLERGENS 14 food allergens – like peanuts, gluten and shellfish – are to be labelled on loose food under new laws. The move will be a welcome one for people who suffer from food allergies.
