GRIM, SNOWY WEATHER has blanketed the northeast of America but those tough NFL lads have the thermals on and it’s ‘Play Ball’.
Blizzards have affected a number of Sunday fixtures, with conditions rapidly heading towards farcical.
Unsurprisingly, Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles were tied at 0-0 until late in the second quarter of their snow-covered encounter. Players are piling into each other whenever a ball is fumbled and wide receivers are springing into the air, more in hope than expectation of catching a ball.
Play improved as the snow eased up and the Eagles eventually ran out 34-20 winners.
