KILDARE AND DONEGAL’S victories in yesterday’s Leinster and Ulster minor football finals completes the pairings for this year’s All-Ireland minor football quarter-finals.
The Kildare and Donegal triumphs come on the back of Kerry and Galway’s recent provincial minor wins in Munster and Connacht.
Laois, Derry, Cork and Mayo are all still involved in the All-Ireland minor series, aiming to bounce back from recent provincial final defeats.
Kerry have won the last two All-Ireland minor titles while Mayo were the 2013 All-Ireland champions.
Galway’s last All-Ireland minor success was 2007, Laois triumphed in 2003, Derry claimed success in 2002 and Cork’s most recent victory arrived in 2000. Kildare and Donegal have never lifted the Tom Markham Cup.
