HERE ARE THE good, the bad, and the unlikely football moves being talked about today…

Swansea are understood to have accepted a £15 million bid for Fernando Llorente from Tottenham, with the Spanish striker having originally been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.

Riyad Mahrez could be set for a late move after leaving the Algeria squad, with Barcelona, Man United and Chelsea all believed to be interested in the player.

Crystal Palace could sign Man City’s Eliaquim Mangala for £23 million, having been reportedly priced out of a move for £30 million-rated Mamadou Sakho.

Liverpool remain hopeful of a deal for £74 million-rated Monaco star Thomas Lemar, while a transfer involving Virgil van Dijk is looking increasingly unlikely.

According to Sky Sports’ Guillem Balague, Barcelona did not bid €160 million for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala, despite previous claims to the contrary.

Retro Deal of the Day: Adrian Mutu to Chelsea

Mutu joined Chelsea from Parma for  €22.5m in August 2003. The former Romania international disappointed during his time at Chelsea, however, with just 10 goals in 27 appearances.

A failed drugs test for cocaine saw him receive a seven-month ban and he ultimately left London to join Juventus in 2005. After just seven goals in 33 appearances in Turin, he departed and had a more successful five-year stint at Fiorentina.

Mutu finished career with short stints at a number of smaller clubs including Pune City in India and Romanian side ASA Targu Mures, before retiring in 2016.

Now 38, he has stayed in football, and is currently general manager at Romanian side Dinamo Bucuresti.
