BARCELONA HAVE RELEASED the first images of their plans to expand their Camp Nou stadium after awarding the project to a Japanese architecture firm.
The La Liga giants plan to increase the capacity of the ground to 105,000 with work set to commence in 2017.
The project has been awarded to a joint venture by architecture groups Nikken Sekkei and Pascual i Ausio Arquitectes after eight shortlisted bids were considered.
Barca have confirmed that the project will be given a formal, public presentation with a ceremony ‘in the coming weeks.’
