SAM CANE AND Malakai Fekitoa have both been cited after the All Black’s 21-9 victory over Ireland yesterday.

Fekitoa was yellow carded for a high tackle on Simon Zebo during the game at the Aviva Stadium, and will have to answer a case for his dangerous challenge.

Cane, meanwhile, escaped a card for his high tackle on Robbie Henshaw, a hit that resulted in the Ireland centre being stretchered off concussed.

The high tackle from Cane brought only a penalty for Ireland after referee Jaco Peyper and his television match official Jon Mason had reviewed the incident.

However, a statement from Autumn International Disciplinary has confirmed that both Cane and Fekitoa will face disciplinary hearings after their alleged dangerous tackles.

Cane was forced off the pitch yesterday in the 18th minute with a high ankle sprain and had been due to miss New Zealand’s clash with France next weekend, although a ban for Fekitoa would rule him out of that fixture.

“Disciplinary hearings for the players will be held in the next two days in front of independent disciplinary committees of three.”
