Shocking day at the office for Mourinho and Co on his return to Stamford Bridge. His heaviest Premier League defeat.

Three minutes of added time to play…

Zlatan gets his shot on target this time, but Courtois is down well to keep it out.

TWO CHANGES – With the job done, Conte takes off Hazard and Costa for Willian and Michy Batshuayi.

His first goal in a Chelsea shirt…

BOOKING – Pogba, who has been really poor again today, picks up a yellow card for clipping the heels of Matic.

Rare chance for United, as Ibrahimovic attempts an acrobatic volley when going with his head looked the better option.

GOAL! Chelsea 4-0 Manchester United (N’Golo Kante)

Super solo goal by the little Frenchman, who walks past a couple of half-hearted challenges before shooting beyond De Gea.

GOAL! Chelsea 3-0 Manchester United (Eden Hazard)

Hazard begins the move out wide, passes to Kante then continues his run inside. Matic slots the ball through and the former Premier League Player of the Year finds the bottom corner after dancing past Smalling.

No way back from this surely.

Lingard shoots at goal but it’s straight at Courtois, who makes a routine save.

BLOCKED – Chelsea break in numbers after a poor pass by new man Rojo and Moses counter-attacks through the middle. He feeds Hazard, who has a pop, but Smalling gets his body in the way.

Rashford gets down the left and whips over a cross. It’s slightly over-cooked, however, and Pogba can’t get there.

SUBSTITUTION – Bailly has picked up a knock and is forced off. Argentine international Marcos Rojo comes on in his place.

RULED OUT – Chelsea have the ball in the back of the net, but Costa is correctly ruled offside after sticking Kante’s deflected effort into the top corner.

SECOND HALF – Juan Mata, who spent two years at Chelsea, is the one change for United with Fellaini coming off.

The visitors have gone 4-4-2 as Rashford joins Ibrahimovic up front.

That Luiz tackle on Fellaini was dangerously-high. Worthy of a red?

Fellaini Luiz

Half-time: Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

Terrible half from United. So many of their big players are under-performing. Mourinho must be thinking about making a couple of changes at the break.

Valencia crosses to Rashford after good work from Bailly, but his connection is poor and it’s well wide.

Great play from Hazard to create an opening for Costa, but United get back in numbers to sniff out the danger.

YELLOW CARD – Luiz catches Fellaini with a high tackle and goes into the referee’s book.

That was risky from Chelsea. Alonso throws towards Azpilicueta, who looks to head back to Courtois but it’s a little short.

Pogba sprints towards the loose ball but Chelsea’s keeper just about gets there first.

DOUBLE STOP – Courtois blocks a long-range effort from Herrera, then has to make a second save when Lingard follows up.

SAVE - Blind is robbed by Pedro and De Gea has to make the save with his foot.

Costa then gets the ball caught in his feet moments later when he should really score.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United (Gary Cahill)

That’s two for the Londoners. A corner falls to Cahill and, after losing Smalling, the Chelsea captain lashes the ball past Blind and De Gea.

Pedro clips into the path of Costa but Bailly is strong in the tackle to clear for a corner. It’s played to the edge of the box and the unmarked Hazard drills a low shot just wide. Decent effort from the Belgian.

CHANCE – United have come into the game with some controlled attacking since conceding. Valencia gets to the endline and chips to the back post, where Ibrahimovic gets up well but heads over the bar.

It’s his first goal of the season.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United (Pedro)

WOW. What a start from the home side! Pedro gets in behind Blind to latch onto a hopeful through-ball and the Spaniard rounds his compatriot David De Gea before slotting home.

Terrible defending from the Man United backline there.

KICK-OFF – Diego Costa gets the ball rolling. Both clubs wearing their traditional home colours — Chelsea in blue and white, Man United in red, white and black.

Mourinho and John Terry embrace before kick-off. The veteran Chelsea defender has to settle for a place on the bench as they set up in a 3-4-3 again with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill making up a three-man defence.

Will United set up to nullify their opponents again just as they did in Monday’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool?
