Cian Healy cited over 'striking with his knee' against Toulon

The Leinster prop faces a disciplinary hearing on Thursday.

CIAN HEALY HAS been cited by the EPCR for an incident involving Toulon hooker Guilhem Guirado during their Champions Cup game on Sunday.

The Leinster prop is alleged to have struck Guirado with his knee in the 26th minute of the match, an incident for which he received a yellow card from referee Nigel Owens.

The complaint was made by the citing commissioner John Byett and Healy’s hearing will be held in Paris on Thursday this week with Roger Morris of Wales acting as Judicial Officer.

If found guilty of a breach of Law 10.4 (a), Healy faces a ban of at least three weeks with punishment at the top end of up to 52 weeks.
