A 16-year-old Dubliner scored a thunderbolt for West Brom at the weekend

Not a bad way to score your first goal.

IRELAND UNDERAGE INTERNATIONAL Dara O’Shea is just one of a number of young players learning his trade with a Premier League club and on this evidence he appears to be making waves.

The 16-year-old has been at the Hawthorns since last summer after impressing for St Kevins Boys back in Dublin. He’s taken to life in England quickly and has even featured for the club in the U21 Premier League.

But it was in the Baggies’ U18 side where he starred at the weekend.

The defender started the move by taking the ball out of defence and although he had a bit of luck in receiving it back, via the outstretched leg of a Tottenham player, he certainly made the most of it.
