David Meyler shows off his tricolour shinpads after scoring against Liverpool

The Cork native paid a nice tribute to his family after putting Hull ahead at the KC Stadium.

DAVID MEYLER SCORED Hull’s second goal of their 3-1 win over Liverpool this afternoon and unveiled a unique celebration.

Having blasted the ball past Simon Mignolet in the Liverpool goal, Meyler ran to the Tigers fans before reaching into his socks and taking out Irish tricolour shinpads. The shin protectors had ‘John, Stella and Sarah’ emblazoned on them — a nod to his father, mother and sister.
