'My proudest moment in a Kerry jersey is having my son in my arms and lifting the Sam Maguire'

Declan O’Sullivan is the next player to go under the Laochra Gael spotlight.

A MODERN KERRY football great is next up to receive the Laochra Gael treatment on TG4 next weekend.

DecSull Declan O'Sullivan with his son Ollie after the 2014 All-Ireland final win.

After the first two episodes focused on hurling royalty in Kilkenny’s JJ Delaney and Waterford’s Ken McGrath, it is Kerry’s Declan O’Sullivan who is the first footballer in the current series to be focused upon next Sunday.

O’Sullivan won five All-Ireland senior medals and three Allstar awards during a glittering career.

But the highlight was getting to share the 2014 win over Donegal with his son Ollie.

Here’s a taste of what to expect next Sunday when the episode airs at 5.55pm on TG4.
