FACEBOOK HAS ANNOUNCED it is rolling out an updated look for its newsfeed to make desktop and mobile look the same.
The company said today this was to ensure Facebook was “more consistent and easier to use across platforms”.
Last year Facebook tested a complete redesign of the news feed across both platforms but people who tested it said they found it more difficult to use, though the liked the larger photos.
“The updated design has the best of both worlds: it keeps the layout and navigation people liked, but offers bigger images and photos, as well as a new font,” the company said today.
This is how your news feed will look once it has been updated:

Images are slightly larger in the new version but ads and organic stories will remain the same size.
Facebook said the changes will be rolled out in the coming weeks and users don’t need to do anything – just keep an eye on it to see if you notice the change.
