FERNANDO TORRES’ TORRID time at Chelsea is finally at an end as the striker is set to join AC Milan on a two-year loan deal. Despite signing for a then British record fee of £50 million, Torres never came close to justifying his price tag and leaves the London club having scored 45 goals in 172 appearances (although his league record of 20 goals in 110 games is more telling).
Despite leaving Chelsea with FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League medals, Torres will be remembered as a punchline for his time at Chelsea. Here are some of his greatest hits at the club.

The decline of Torres is a mysterious one. The day he moved to London, he simply ceased being good. Liverpool fans were gutted to lose him at the time because he was capable of magical moments like these, one of which was against his future club.

It is fitting that he is joining AC Milan, a club who like Torres, hasn’t been relevant in years. And from what we have seen over the last few seasons, you wouldn’t be too confident about predicting a Torres renaissance either.
Where do you think it all went wrong for the striker?
