WHILE WE WAIT to see whether Steph Roche has won the Puskas Award, FIFA have been giving out some other accolades.
The FIFPRO team of the year is voted for by 20,000 professional footballers, and the high amount of Brazilians in the game must be the reason David Luiz made the cut.
Besides that, there was no room for Luis Suarez or James Rodriguez in the 4-3-3 formation.
Jamie Carragher certainly didn’t think Luiz should have been selected.
Iniesta was probably a little fortunate to make the cut too given he probably had his poorest season since before Spain started winning international trophies in ’08. Besides those two selections, the rest of the team is predictable enough.
