Ian Madigan facing spell on the sidelines with groin injury

The former Leinster man was omitted from Joe Schmidt’s November Tests squad.

IAN MADIGAN’S IMPRESSIVE start to his Bordeaux Begles career has suffered a setback with confirmation that he’ll miss four weeks due to a groin injury.

The Ireland out-half suffered tendonitis in his groin during the Top 14 defeat to Castres over the weekend and has been ruled out for at least a month.

Madigan has enjoyed a solid start to life in France but will now miss games against Stade Francais, Grenoble and La Rochelle.

UBB currently sit sixth in the Top 14.
