IRELAND HEAD COACH Joe Schmidt has included three uncapped Munster players in a 40-man squad to prepare for the Six Nations.

Wing Andrew Conway is included along with brothers Niall and Rory Scannell, three of a 13-strong contingent from the southern province.

Seven more of the squad have just one cap to their name, including powerful Leinster back row Jack Conan whose one previous appearance in green was in the summer of 2015.

Jonathan Sexton and Paddy Jackson are the only out-halves among the squad despite the Leinster out-half’s recent injury frustrations.
