BBC apologises after mistakenly calling this Welsh rugby player 'Jake Ballsack'

It’s a ballsy move, that’s for sure.

THE BBC HAS apologised for an embarrassing, and pretty juvenile, error involving rugby player Jake Ball.

The Wales second row was mistakenly listed as “Jake Ballsack” in an online report ahead of Saturday’s defeat against Australia.

Go on, it’s ok to laugh…

The mistake came to light when Ball’s international team-mate Jamie Roberts spotted it on Friday and tweeted it to his 180,000 followers.

“Haha spot the error @BBCSport @BBCWalesSport …I’ll give you a clue – he plays second row for us!!”

A spokeswoman for BBC Sport told WalesOnline that the piece was quickly amended as soon as it was spotted.

Ball seems to have taken it in good spirits, tweeting: “Cheers @BBCSport think the name BALLSACK is going to haunt me for the rest of my days lol”

Still though, ballsack *snigger*
