Terry set to be offered player/manager role at Brondby - reports

The Danish club want Chelsea’s out-going captain.

REPORTS THIS MORNING suggest John Terry will be handed the chance to go straight into management with Danish club Brondby.

The 35-year-old Chelsea captain is set to leave when his current contract expires at the end of the season after nearly two decades at the Premier League club.

China, the MLS and the Middle East have all been mooted as possible destinations for the former England centre-half, but a number of British media outlets claim he is set to be offered a player/manager role at Brondby.

Terry is supposedly friends with the club’s owner Jan Bech Andersen, who has brought in Aurelijus Skarbalius on a temporary basis after Thomas Frank walked out last week.

They are currently fourth in the Danish Superliga — 10 points off leaders FC Copenhagen.

The team is mainly made up of Danes and Swedes including former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger and ex-Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander.
