Katie Taylor's opponent finally named ahead of US pro debut on Saturday

The Bray native will be looking to bring her professional record to 6-0 at the Barclays Center.

KATIE TAYLOR MAKES her US professional debut on Saturday night, and she now finally knows who she’s set to step into the ring with.

The former Olympic champion will face American southpaw Jasmine Clarkson at the Barclays Center in New York.

The Dallas-based 22-year-old has won four of her 12 fights — winning two of her last three outings. She has never been stopped in 61 rounds of pro boxing.

Taylor looks to take her professional run to six wins from six, and set up a potential World title clash in Ireland before the end of the year.

The 31-year-old Bray native has eased through her first five fights, and has stopped her respective opponent three times.

Taylor and Clarkson go head-to-head over eight rounds on the undercard of the super-lightweight bout between Adrien Broner and Mikey Garcia.

The fight will be live on Sky Sports.
