Goalkeeper concedes seven against Dortmund but this triple save was incredible

NORWEGIAN SIDE ODDS BK must have thought fortune was on their side early in last night’s Europa League qualifier second leg away to Borussia Dortmund.

Trailing 4-3 from the first leg, Odds were faced with a difficult — but by no means impossible — task heading to Germany.

And when goalkeeper Sondre Rossbach produced this outstanding series of saves in the 12th minute to deny both Matthias Ginter and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Bundesliga side probably began to worry if it was going to be one of those nights.

Unfortunately for Odds — who eliminated Shamrock Rovers in the second qualifying round — Rossbach’s save only served to give them false hope.

Dortmund ran out 7-2 winners on the night (11-5 on aggregate) but Rossbach still deserves recognition for a superb piece of goalkeeping.

As for what happened afterwards for the visitors, the less said about that the better.
