MANCHESTER UNITED ARE facing a striker crisis ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final at Chelsea tonight.
Jose Mourinho has been left without Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic entering the clash, while there are doubts surrounding Marcus Rashford.
Ibrahimovic is suspended, and faces a stint on the sidelines following last weekend’s drama with Tyrone Mings.
BBC Sport, among others, are reporting that Rashford is out due to illness, while Rooney picked up a knock in training and Martial is also missing due to injury.
The nature of the leg injury Rooney picked up is unknown but he was unable to complete the training session and will have a scan today, according to the BBC. The extent of Martial’s injury is not yet known either.
The defending FA Cup champions have supposedly travelled to London without the strikers, while Premier League leaders Chelsea have a fully-fit squad for the tie.
Mourinho’s side face an all-important Europa League home clash against FC Rostov on Thursday, and so the news throws up further concerns for the Portuguese manager later in the week.
Ibrahimovic will be available though, as his suspension is domestic only.
