THE LIVE PRESS conference at the Staples Center may have left many fans underwhelmed, but the most entertaining aspect of last night’s first media event involving Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Conor McGregor occurred afterwards at the Los Angeles arena.
Ahead of his boxing bout against Mayweather in Las Vegas next month, McGregor held a separate briefing for the print journalists present.
However, it was swiftly interrupted by Mayweather’s father and trainer, Floyd Snr, who was keen to tell the Dubliner that he’s facing mission impossible in his professional boxing debut against his undefeated son at the T-Mobile Arena on 26 August.
The May-Mac media tour moves on to Toronto this evening, before heading to New York tomorrow ahead of its conclusion at the SSE Wembley Arena in London on Friday.
